First
of all allow me thank you for your interest in fishing and and for
visiting our web site. FishinPals is unique in the way of promoting the
Gospel. We actually do it out of the confines of the walls. We are
willing to go where the people are. As for myself I grew up in a small
mid-western town with a population of around 350 or so. I became
interested in fishing at around the age of 6 and really don't know what
got me involved in the sport. All I can say is that I am thankful to
have a passion towards the sport of fishing. Its more than just fishing
as a pastime for myself but also a passion to encourage others to
become involved in the sport and to become better anglers and
caretakers of God's creation.
At the age of eight I accetped the truth of God's Son coming to
purchase my salvation and my relationship to the Father. Fishing is a
great way to come together with others in fellowship. It is a sport
that families can build many wonderful memories to share together and
with others. Relationship will often grow with others you may have
passed on the street but had no idea you may of had something in
common. Fishing is generally passed down from one generation to another
and is not something that one can participate in for only a few years.
It can be a life long activity and often this is the case. Let me
assure you that I do not believe that fishing is the answer to the
problems that plague our society. I do not believe that fishing can
bring joy into ones life. I do believe one must have the true joy of
having a relationship with the Father through His Son Jesus Christ
before one can truly enjoy the sport of fishing. Fishing may bring fond
memories and moments of happiness but never the joy that can only be
found in a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father! I am
thankful that the Lord has granted this passion to me. I am also
thankful that He is using this passion to reach out to those who may
not have a relationship with Him and also to those who do. We at
FishinPals want to "Encourage God's People to be God's People." We
encourage God's people to come together not only behind the church
walls but also in other activities they may enjoy. Fishing is one of
them.
May your fishing be blessed and your life a blessing.
